Meskwaki Annual Powwow Princess & Brave Contest

Applications for the 2023 Meskwaki Annual Powwow Princess and Brave are available at the Meskwaki Tribal Center Front Desk. Contest will be held  on Wednesday, August 9th beginning at 7:00PM at the Meskwaki Powwow Grounds.

Requirements:

1. Age 14 to 21 years old
2. Single, no children
3. Law abiding, live a positive lifestyle
4. Drug and alcohol free
5. Must agree to attend 4 state-wide events (ex. Lincoln Highway Bridge Festival, Corn Festival)
6. Must agree to attend a minimum of 5 out-of-state Powwows (mandatory)
7. Provide pictures to share you presence at the events attended that will be posted on the MAPA Facebook Page and in the Meskwaki Nation Times newsletter
