The Meskwaki Tribal Center Gymnasium is designated as a cooling center, open immediately, for those needing an air-conditioned space to deal with the health effects until heat advisory is over. It will be available 24 hours a day. If needed, individuals can contact the Tribal Center Front Desk for check-in purposes.
Please do NOT hesitate to utilize the Tribal Center as a Cooling Center, it will be very HOT these next few days.
Remember to stay hydrated – drink plenty of water/fluids, try to stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Wear lightweight and loose fiiting clothing when possible.
