Social Dance

Families, friends, singers, and dancers gathered on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Meskwaki Tribal Center for the Meskwaki Nation Child Support Services Social Dancing event. The evening began with a community meal and potluck, leading into social dancing activities including a Switch Dance Contest, Potato Dance, and Two Step, with the Coon Hunters serving as the host drum.

With the theme “Menwi Ttinawetino – Be a Good Relative,” the gathering highlighted the importance of family, culture, and community. Meskwaki Nation Child Support Services welcomed all singers and dancers to take part in an evening dedicated to strengthening relationships and celebrating the values that bring the community together.
