Today we came together at Meskwaki Senior Services to honor our community elders with October birthdays. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of spare ribs, green bean maadi, frybread, wabikoni, mixed berries, carrot & raisin salad, followed by cake, ice cream, and special gifts for the birthday guests.
This month we celebrated Winona Kapayou, Amelia Grant, Doris American Horse, and Melissa Wabaunasee. The room filled with smiles as everyone joined in song to wish them a very happy birthday.
We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our elders and share another year of life, laughter, and community together.
