Meskwaki Settlement School art teacher Debra Shore invited Meskwaki elder and veteran Nathan Bear to pose for her first and second period art classes. The students sketched Mr. Bear in a variety of poses as he shared stories of his time in the military and his life on the Settlement. At the end of the class, each student presented their best drawing to Nathan, which he thoroughly enjoyed. See these pieces and more at the upcoming Fine Arts Night, April 24 at the high school.
