If you are interested in selling produce, grains, mushrooms, maple syrup, honey, livestock, eggs, dairy or value-added products, please join this small focus group to learn more about a substantial new sales opportunity for direct-market farmers to increase local food access!

OVERVIEW —
Through the Iowa Local Food Purchase Assistance Program, Iowa will buy $1.8 million dollars of local food including produce, meat, dairy and value-added products over the next 2 years from local food producers and deliver it free-of-charge to underserved communities in Iowa. This program will especially emphasize creating market opportunities for socially disadvantaged and beginning farmers.
PURPOSE OF FARMER FOCUS GROUPS —
We want this program to work for you and we need your feedback to guide us! We want to hear how the project will (or won’t) serve your farm & what suggestions you have for improvement. We’ll share the program design and ask for your critical feedback, using your input to shape something that truly meets the needs of the farmers and communities it is designed to serve.
