The Meskwaki Youth Internship Program celebrated the accomplishments of its 2026 interns during Intern Recognition Day on Monday, July 27, at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel Convention Center.
The morning brought together interns, supervisors, and department representatives for breakfast, welcome remarks, final project presentations, and a recognition ceremony honoring the interns’ hard work and dedication throughout the summer program. Workforce Development presented program completion certificates, while participating departments recognized their interns for the contributions they made during their internships.
Representatives from Meskwaki Family Services, Meskwaki Nation Child Support Services, Pinnacle Bank, Meskwaki Natural Resources, Meskwaki Tribal Court, Meskwaki Senior Services, Meskwaki Settlement School, Meskwaki Information Technology, Meskwaki Travel Plaza, Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program, Meskwaki Media, Meskwaki Child Care, Red Earth Gardens, Meskwaki Food Sovereignty, Meskwaki Hemp Supply, Inc., Meskwaki Naturals, Inc., the Meskwaki Recreation & Community Center, and the Meskwaki Health Clinic recognized the achievements of their interns during the ceremony.
The event concluded with words of encouragement as interns prepared to finish their final week of employment with the 2026 Meskwaki Youth Internship Program.
