The energy was electric at the Meskwaki Settlement School on Friday, October 9, as students, staff, and families gathered in the gym for the annual Homecoming Pep Rally.
The event marked a thrilling conclusion to the school day and a week full of spirited competition. A major highlight of the rally was the special recognition of Senior athletes Layne Steuhm-Wolf, Dantavious Slick-Driscoll, Tyjerrisen Raphealito, and Dorothy Bear, who were honored alongside their families for their dedication and leadership.
The afternoon also brought the highly anticipated announcement of the Homecoming week winners:
• The Freshmen class took home top honors, being declared the winners of the Homecoming Parade decorating contest.
• The Senior class claimed ultimate bragging rights, capturing the coveted trophy for the week-long Battle of the Classes competition.
The excitement continued with a series of high-energy games. Students from each high school class (and even a couple brave teachers) faced off in friendly but fierce contests. The crowd cheered as participants went flying across the gym in inflatable bubbles, tested their strength in a classic game of tug-of-war, and raced against the clock in a hot dog eating contest. It was an unforgettable, fun-filled celebration of Warrior pride.
