THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL NOTICE THAT A BONUS IS BEING DISTRIBUTED
This notice serves to inform the general public that per capita may be garnished for the purposes of Child Support (pursuant to Meskwaki Nation Child Support Code, Title 6, Article II, Section 6-2315) and if you have an arrears balance or owe back child support.
In an effort to help resolve child support debt, MNCSS will automatically withhold an additional amount, up to Fifty Percent (50%) of the gross amount, from Tribal monetary disbursements including any “Bonus” monies, if one is issued. This amount would be applied to the total arrears balance in each case, reducing the amount of back support owed to each child. Contact your case worker to find out what amount will be withheld from the bonus distribution. If you disagree, you can file a Pro Se Motion with Tribal Court.
We are providing this information in advance to assist in budget planning in the coming month. Once arrears are paid in full, this additional withholding will not be applied.
