NEWS: American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Distribution
A mailing was sent out Friday, July 16, 2021 to enrolled Tribal Members with information and forms that need to be completed to receive emergency financial assistance for the months of August, September and October from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) Funding.
This non-taxable disbursement is for COVID-19 related expenses such as compliance with stay-at-home orders, rent/mortgage, utilities, food, internet, personal protective equipment, and any other related expenses due to the pandemic.
If you did not receive the mailing or need additional copies, these detailed documents are available in the Members Only Portal of the Meskwaki Nation website at: www.meskwaki.org. You must register for entrance into the portal. Instructions on how to do so are located by clicking here.
The Tribal Fiscal staff will be set up in the Tribal gym for the August distribution on Thursday, July 29th and Friday, July 30th from 8:00AM to 4:30PM for enrolled members who complete the necessary forms. Emergency funds will continue to be distributed, to eligible recipients who have submitted verification forms, at the Tribal Center, and through the mail until October 31, 2021. October 31st is the deadline to be eligible for all payments. The second and third distribution payments will be mailed to those who completed the necessary forms to the addresses provided on August 27, 2021 and September 28, 2021.
If you cannot come to the Tribal Center, forms can be notarized and mailed. After your forms are received by the finance office your check will be mailed to you, with the address we have on file.
