The Meskwaki Annual Powwow Association, in collaboration with the Meskwaki Youth Development Program, hosted a Social Dance Night on Friday, June 20, 2025 at the powwow grounds. This special evening honored the athletes and program staff of the Chicago Bears Youth Football Camp.
The event featured a variety of traditional dances, engaging both youth and adults, for an evening of dancing and fun. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the singers, dancers, and program staff who made the evening possible.
We also extend our appreciation to the Robert Morgan Post 701 for presenting the colors, and to the Ward family for providing food and drinks.
A special thank you to MAPA staff Jerod Pushetonequa, Drayton Roberts, and Nicole Kapayou for all their hard work, along with Sean Keahna Sr. and Odie OldBear for serving as Head Staff during the powwow event.
