The Meskwaki community gathered on January 27 at the Meskwaki Recreation Center classroom for a Singing event open to all. Participants shared and learned songs from traditional Meskwaki dances, reflecting the deep connection these songs hold and the importance of keeping them alive. We thank the keepers of our songs for passing on this knowledge and for encouraging others to become song keepers as well.
