Sarah Wheelock, Meskwaki member, was recently appointed as the first Native American to sit on Minnesota’s second-highest court, the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Wheelock, who serves as legal counsel for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux community in Prior Lake, Minnesota, has an extensive legal background in tribal, federal, and state litigation as well as economic development and finance work.
