Meskwaki Public Works is required to engage in a Tribal Safety Planning process that creates opportunities for public comment, participation, and consultation throughout the development of the Meskwaki Transportation Safety Plan (MTSP) as part of the Tribal Transportation Program.
The program includes:
- Adequate public notice of public participation
- Review and comment of key decision points in the development of the plan
- Multiple, accessible participation formats, including electronic and in-person
Therefore, we invite the public comment on the Tribal Safety Plan –Draft, originally completed in 2018.
A copy of the plan, in its entirety, is available for public viewing by Meskwaki Safety Plan Draft 8_21_18 (002)
Hard copies are available at the Tribal Center.
Public comments on the key decision points of the safety plan will be accepted until Monday, August 15, 2022. Please email comments to: [email protected] or hand write them on paper and deliver to the Tribal Center, 349 Meskwaki Road, Tama, IA 52339 before Monday, August 15, 2022 at 4:30 PM.
