The Meskwaki Diabetes Program hosted the Bright Minds Puzzle Competition on Wednesday, August 26, at the Meskwaki Recreation & Community Center.
Eight teams of up to four participants competed to see who could complete their puzzle first, with Team Wanatee taking first place with an impressive time of 1 hour and 32 minutes!
Before the competition began, Christina Alamo of the Meskwaki Diabetes Program provided valuable information on diabetes education and managing potential complications. Participants also took on the added challenge of completing a Diabetes Word Scramble to uncover seven helpful tips for managing diabetes.
The evening included delicious tacos provided by Kayella’s, along with complimentary cooling towels featuring the Meskwaki Diabetes Program logo.
