This event is held by a collaborative of Minneapolis Native organizations, seeks to bring awareness to missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, boys, two spirit and transgendered persons by holding an annual community walk on the streets near the Minneapolis American Indian Center each Valentine’s Day.  Participants are asked to wear red as a visible sign of support for the MMIW movement.

Meskwaki Youth Program will be hosting a Middle School Night on Thursday, February 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Tribal Center Snack Bar/Kitchen.

*If there is inclement weather, Middle School Night will be canceled.

Meskwaki Diabetes Program Presents: Family Fun Day!

Wednesday, February 27th from 5:30 – 8:00 pm in the Meskwaki High School Gym.

Join us for fun jumps, food and fun!

Meskwaki Youth Program movie night will be this Thursday, March 7th. They will be going to Fridley Plaza 9 Theatres and watching “Captain Marvel”.  MYP will be leaving at 6:20 pm and plan arrive back at 9:20 pm. Meet at the Economic Development Office (1496 Hwy 30, Tama).

Admission and Snak Pak will be paid for.

There is limited seating in the MYP van.

**Must have a MYP Middle School registration on file.

The next Tribal Council Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 13th starting at 5:00 pm in the Tribal Chambers.

Enrolled Tribal Members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Meskwaki Juvenile Probation Presents:

Tribal Mental Health – Normalize the Conversation

Wednesday, March 13th at 6:00 PM in the MBCH Convention Center

A member of the Kewa Pueblo tribe, Doreen Bird has devoted her career to researching mental and behavioral health among Native American communities. Join her while we tackle tough conversations including Mental Health Among Native Americans, Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention Among Tribal Youth.

*There will be gift card drawings for those who attend this event.

Meskwaki Drama Club’s Spring Play will be on Friday, March 15, 2019 starting at 7:00 pm at the Meskwaki High School Stage.

Admission is $5.00.
