Meskwaki Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center Presents… “An Evening with Mary Black and Blain Constant”.
Thursday, October 24th from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at the Tama Civic Center (305 Siegel St, Tama, IA 52339).
Mary and Blain are returning to the Meskwaki Settlement for an encore to their Red Ribbon Week performance. This Indigenous duo uses motivational songs and stories to deliver their culturally-relevant message on preventing drug and alcohol abuse by sharing their personal journeys of hope and healing.
There will be a FREE community meal for those who attend this event. We hope to see you there!

The Meskwaki Travel Plaza will be hosting their Trunk or Treat event on Tuesday, October 29th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Meskwaki Travel Plaza.
Judging will begin at 6:00 pm. There will be three (3) categories – Most Original, Scariest, and Funniest. The winners of each category will receive $100.00. *All participants will receive a free bowl of chili!
This is a free event and open to all community members.

Help Fight Hunger In Our Community! The 4th Annual Arrest Hunger Food Drive is currently being held from November 1st through November 25th. There will be Donation bags and/or boxes left at each home and Tribal Office on the Settlement. Your support is greatly appreciated!
During the Meskwaki Veterans Powwow at the Meskwaki High School on Saturday, November 9th there will be a donation box available to place food drive donations.
On November 21st and 22nd the Probation department, Police Department and Diabetes Program will be collecting donations from each home and tribal office, (please leave outside your door).
On November 25th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm community members may come to the Tribal Center to pick-up donations.
