Ascertainment of Quorum – A quorum ascertained with 6 council members present.
Agenda approval
The Chairman asked for any changes or additions to the agenda. March Runner requested to add the Rob Lowe Documentary Series to the agenda because an answer is needed immediately. Motion made by Delonda Pushetonequa to approve the agenda with the addition of the Rob Lowe Documentary Series to new business. Adrian Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 5 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Gerald Sanache left the meeting at 5:24 pm.
Minutes – December 21, 2017 & January 3, 2018
Motion made by Delonda Pushetonequa to approve the minutes for December 21, 2017 and January 3, 2018. Troy Wanatee seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no.
Reports – Adrian Pushetonequa reported he attended the Enrollment Committee meeting yesterday and the items are on the agenda. There is also an Enrollment conference coming up that is important to attend in March 21-23, 2018. Adrian will be traveling to the Enrollment Conference in Phoenix, AZ in March 1-23, 2018. Delonda Pushetonequa also has interest in attending if her schedule will allow.

Motion by Delonda Pushetonequa to come out of Executive Session. Adrian Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Out of executive session at 5:56 pm.
Motion by Jarvis Bear to table Dirk Whitebreast’s housing request until the Housing Policies and Procedures are updated. Adrian Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.

Enrollment Officer Appointment
Motion by Delonda Pushetonequa to appoint Allison Stewart as the Enrollment Officer. Adrian Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Wacha Property Land Purchase
Motion by Jarvis Bear to approve the purchase of the Wacha property, 151.23 acres for $950,000.00. Delonda Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Great Lakes Intertribal Food Summit Request
The Meskwaki Food Sovereignty Initiative is seeking approval to host a large intertribal food summit on the Meskwaki Settlement, in partnership with outside Tribal Organizations and accompanying Tribal Resolution. Motion made by Delonda Pushetonequa to approve Tribal Resolution 1-2018 Hosting the Great Lakes Intertribal Food Summit. Troy Wanatee seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
Attorney General Matters (Executive Session)
Motion made by Jarvis Bear to go into executive session. Delonda Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Meeting went into executive session at 6:52 pm.

Rob Lowe Documentary Series
March Runner presented information received from Eddie Mills, Senior TV Producer for Success Files, who is interested in the Tribe’s unique history and is seeking the Tribe’s approval to work with the Tribe in its documentary series. Success files is a uniquely designed as educational content for Public Television in all 50 states. The series is above all else about education, education that informs viewers on the very latest topic and trends impacting the world. They are looking for one top tier regional story discussing the true heritage and/or history of Western America told from Indians perspective. As part of cross promoting the series, further educational commercial segments will air on the major networks such as Discovery, TLC, and Travel Channel. Motion made by Jarvis Bear to approve contacting Success Files to pursue the documentary series hosted by Rob Lowe. Delonda Pushetonequa seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried.
