Tribal Council Special Meeting – February 18, 2020, 10:30 AM

  1. Meeting called to order at 10:37 a.m.
  2. Roll Call

Presiding Officer:  Drayton Roberts, Vice-Chairman

Tribal Council present:  Delonda Pushetonequa, Treasurer; Vern Jefferson; Jarvis Bear; Judith Bender.

Absent Clinton Bear, Zane Oldbear

Staff present: Joann Youngbear, Interim Executive Director; Lowella Balderas, Interim Tribal Council Secretary.

Members:  Lauryn Keahna; Jerry Youngbear; Oliviah Walker; Linda Tyon; Marj Buffalo; Anneka Davenport.

  1. Ascertainment of Quorum – A quorum was ascertained with 5 council members present.
  2. Purpose
    1. Selection of Officers

Motion by Delonda Pushetonequa to nominate Judith Bender as Chairwoman. Jarvis Bear seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no, (1 abstain Judith Bender). Motion carried.

Motion by Delonda Pushetonequa to nominate Drayton Roberts as Vice-Chairman. Vern Jefferson seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no (1 abstain Drayton Roberts). Motion carried.

Motion by Vern Jefferson to nominate Delonda Pushetonequa as Treasurer.  Jarvis Bear seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no (1 abstain Delonda Pushetonequa). Motion carried.

Lowella Balderas remain as Interim Tribal Council Secretary.

Employment-Jarvis Bear

  1. Availability of work sessions

Work sessions will be held on Monday and every other Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m.  Work sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesdays when a TC meeting is schedule on a Wednesday.

Motion made by Delonda Pushetonequa to adjourn. Jarvis Bear seconded. Vote: 4 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:55 a.m.
