Summer Youth Interns Wanted

Workforce Development is looking for motivated Tribal youth interested in gaining professional skills and hands-on career experience this summer. During the 8 week internship, interns will have the chance to work alongside Meskwaki community professionals while earning a weekly stipend. (30 hours per week.) The program begins June 8, 2026.
OPEN TO TRIBAL YOUTH AGES 14-24 YEARS OLD.
*Applicants must be 14 years old by May 31, 2026.

- Apprenticeship Program (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, pest control, electric) – Must be 18 yrs or older
- Food Sovereignty
- Health Services (Administration, Admin. Services, Nursing) – (Health Admin must be 18 years or older/other two internships open to all youth)
- Child Care – Must be 16 yrs or older
- Family Services/Child Support – Must be 18 yrs or older
- Meskwaki Hemp/Naturals – Must be 18 yrs or older
- Meskwaki, Inc. (T-shirt Production, Administration)
- Media Services
- Senior Services
- Meskwaki Settlement School
- Meskwaki Nation Police Department – Must be 18 years or older
- Meskwaki Recreation Center Group Leader
- Meskwaki Recreation Center Intern
- Information Technology (MSS)
- Meskwaki Natural Resources – Must be 18 yrs or older
- Pinnacle Bank – Must be 18 yrs or older
- Red Earth Gardens
- Tribal Court – Must be 18 yrs or older
- Travel Plaza Maintenance
