Meskwaki Summer Youth Employment Program is a seven (7) week program designed for Meskwaki youth to gain work experience, learn about and explore career interests while earning an income.
MSYEP will be held June 20th through August 5th.
Summer Youth Job Training Program
MSYEP is gearing up for the 2022 Summer Youth Job Training Program. MSYEP offers Meskwaki youth the opportunity to gain work experience, and develop interpersonal skills. Participants will learn and explore career interests while earning income during the summer. We invite your department or business organization to join the Meskwaki Workforce Development Program in a partnership by serving as a worksite.
What is MSYEP?
The Meskwaki Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) provides workforce training opportunities for 25 Meskwaki youth who are ages 14 and up, 10th-12th grade high school students, by teaming with Tribal Operations, Meskwaki, Inc., and the Meskwaki Travel Plaza. Youth workers will work part-time, up to 25 hours per week, for 7 weeks while earning $7.25 per hour.
MYSEP Dates
The Summer Youth Job Training Program will run for a while seven-week period. Youth workers will be assigned to their worksites and will contact the worksite supervisor before their start date. The 2022 MSYEP will begin June 20 and go through August 5.
