Meskwaki Public Works has announced that Meskwaki Community Spring Clean-Up will be held Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13 on the Settlement. Checks are no longer accepted by the Tama County Landfill through us. Money Order and cash payments can be made at Public Works or at the Tribal Center Finance Office. Please make Money Orders out to: “Tama County Landfill”.
Please sort items into two (2) piles and place near roadside:
- Metals and Appliances
- Junk
The following items ARE NOT accepted for Clean-Up:
- Batteries
- Branches
- Cars
- Chemicals
- Motor oil
- Paint
- Trees
There is no charge for white appliances this year however, there is a service charge for certain items such as electronics and car tires.
Electronics:
- $8.00 – CRT Monitor, Copy/Fax Machine, Non-Console TV uner 19″
- $15.00 – Computer Monitor, Non-Console TV 20″ – 25″
- $18.00 CRT TVs and Monitors 26″ and over
- $20.00 – Console Projection TVs
Car Tires:
- $2.00 – NOT on rim
- $7.00 – ON rim
