Today we came together at Meskwaki Senior Services to honor our community elders with July birthdays. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of Spare ribs & NDN corn, frybread, tagaani & wabikoni, broccoli salad, followed by cake, ice cream, and special gifts for our birthday guests.
This month we celebrated Ann Lasley, Milly Thompson, Allen Papakee, and Iris Roberts. The room filled with smiles as everyone joined in song to wish them a very happy birthday.
We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our elders and share another year of life, laughter, and community together.
