IOWA RIVER AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING INFORMATION FOR THE MESKWAKI NATION:

Rain and snow melt has caused rapid flash flooding across the Settlement and the State. The Iowa River has risen 6.5 ft since 10pm Monday night. Accommodations are available for residents/families in need of relocation/evacuation. If you are in need of a room, contact deputy executive director, Olivia Walker at 641-481-5031. If you are in need of immediate assistance please dial 911. Please be conscious and watch out for flash flooding and flooding from the Iowa River. Do not attempt to drive through standing water across roadways. The possibility of releasing ice jams can cause water levels to rise fast. To monitor the Iowa River water level and view the 7 day prediction at the powwow grounds, please visit https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=dmx&gage=tmai4.
