Today we came together at Meskwaki Senior Services to honor our community elders with September birthdays. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of pork & hominy, frybread, tagaani & wabikoni, potato salad, and fruit salad, followed by cake, ice cream, and special gifts for the birthday guests.
This month we celebrated Carrie Owen, Terri Scott, Keith Mitchell, and Georgette Sanache. The room filled with smiles as everyone joined in song to wish them a very happy birthday.
We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our elders and share another year of life, laughter, and community together.
