The Meskwaki community held its first awareness walk of the year for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month on Wednesday, March 18 at the Meskwaki Rec Center. A total of 158 participants signed in, showing strong community support for raising awareness and promoting early detection.
The weather cooperated, making for a nice evening for participants to walk and run together. Community members of all ages took part in support of education, screening, and research.
Participants also received event T-shirts and a meal, giving everyone a chance to gather and connect following the walk.
