College & Career Fair

Meskwaki Nation Workforce Development hosted the Meskwaki College & Career Fair today, Thursday, April 16, at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel Convention Center.

The event welcomed Meskwaki High School students from 9 to 10am, followed by area high school students and the general public from 10am to 1pm. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with colleges, universities, and training programs from across Iowa, while also engaging with local employers and industry professionals. The fair was designed to help students and jobseekers explore educational pathways, discover career opportunities, and gain access to valuable resources for future success.

Adding an interactive element to the day, the Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program hosted a hands-on contest challenging participants to see who could drill five screws the fastest. Karsyn Wolf and Delia Yepez recorded the top times, earning first place and taking home Meskwaki Apprenticeship Program apparel.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
