Today we came together at Meskwaki Senior Services to honor our community elders with April birthdays. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of gumbo soup, frybread, wabikoni, tagaani, and potato salad followed by cake and ice cream. This month we celebrated Cheryl Wilson-Wright, Patrick Morris, Nancy Johnson, Wanda Lasley, Gayle Walker, and JoAnn Youngbear. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our elders and share another year of life, laughter, and community together.
