The Meskwaki Annual Pow Wow is a celebration held every year on the Meskwaki Indian Settlement near Tama, Iowa. In addition to ceremonial dances, arts and crafts vendors, and historical artifact display tent, this year new events have been added to the wonderful four-day celebration! Visitors will have an opportunity to view and imagine how Meskwaki’s resided all the way to the early 1970’s within the Meskwaki Indian replica village. Also, visitors can watch traditional games played and artist demonstrations of acquired skills. Mark your calendars for August 7 – 10, 2008 and come enjoy a nice get-a-way, relax and learn about Iowa’s only tribe.

We share with you what is truly distinctive about our way of life as you witness the unique songs and dances performed at our pow wow.
