| According the the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, no deer have tested positive in Iowa so far, but in Illinois the disease has spread to LaSalle County, northern Illinois, which brings the state's total to 189 cases since 2002. |
| The Meskwaki Natural Resources Department will be pursuing funding for 2008/2009 to continue to gather data on the wildlife populations on the Settlement as well as determine the presence or prevalence of CWD in deer populations on Tribal lands. |
