Higher Education Department

"Assisting enrolled Meskwaki tribal members and their descendants in pursuing post-secondary education and life-long learning goals.”

The Meskwaki Higher Education Program seeks to achieve the highest, most diverse level of post-secondary education and training opportunities for the Meskwaki people. The Meskwaki Tribe faces important social, economic, and cultural challenges. In order to be successful in meeting those challenges, the tribe needs a skilled/educated tribal workforce. The Meskwaki tribe seeks to assist community members in their educational pursuits by maintaining the Higher Education/Adult Vocational/ Adult Education programs.

This program offers funding for any course of study that leads to an Associate Degree (AA or AS), a Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS), or a graduate degree (Masters or Doctorate). We offer career and technical education funding.
